The Women of Color Caucus (WOCC) recognizes the isolation, frustration and invisibility felt by women of color in domestic violence, sexual assault and other social service movements. The WOCC knows that we must strengthen the bonds between us, and together in collective action, give women of color opportunities to be active leaders in our agencies, state and nation.

The WOCC Mustard Seed Funding Project invests in women of color seeking pre-seed and seed level financial support for projects that impact the movement to end violence against women of color. Our mission is to bridge the gap for women of color to write our own story and lead the way to real justice and access to all systems, services and economic wealth.

Projects will be awarded based on the WOCC mission, the ability to pave the way for WOC and to share the benefits with the community we serve. Applicants will compete for:

1st Place: $2000
2nd Place:   $1000
3rd Place: $500

Eligibility

Only Women of Color are invited to apply.

Examples of projects to be considered, but not limited to:

Product Development/Distribution, Training, Research, Literature, Awareness Campaign, Venue Rental, etc. We are interested in giving women of color a canvass to create something they believe is needed to end violence against women of color.
