March 13 - Anti-Racist Discipline Workshop
INNOVATING FOR EQUITY: The workshop will use the Critical Race Theory as a framework to understand discipline in schools. Participants will explore anti-racist alternatives to traditional responses to student behavior. Additionally, participants will explore ways to build authentic relationships with children. This virtual workshop is designed to support parents, teachers, and teams responsible for implementing discipline and designing policies implemented at schools sites. The support is designed to humanize children, to interrupt the "school to prison" pipeline," decrease disproportionality, and increase in-class instruction time for all students.

Who is encouraged to attend: Parents, Teachers, Counselors, Social Workers, Deans, Instructional Assistants, Administrators, and any organization working with children.
