Important - Please read the following: This form is for existing applicants who are already on the waiting list to provide updated information. If you are a new applicant, please do not use this form. Instead, please use the form for new applicants. 

If you are already on the waiting list for housing opportunities please provide any updated information you may have regarding your income, household size, and other items, as listed below, and submit this Application Information Update Form in order to update your preliminary application for housing.  

When housing units become available, we will contact households in the order that they appear on the waiting list, starting with Hoboken Residents in accordance with the City's requirements. As there are over 20,000 applicants on the waiting list, for those who have several thousand applicants in front of them, this may take several years. This is not an application for housing. This is a Waiting List Update Form ("Form"), which is a preliminary application for use in providing updated preliminary application information. Please understand that completing and submitting this Form does not guarantee qualification for leasing or purchasing an affordable housing unit. Once we reach your name on the waiting list all applicants will be required to complete a verification process to ensure they meet all required conditions to qualify for housing, including the completion of a final application for income certification and other related steps. 

The Applicant(s) represents that all information provided in the application is accurate and true to the best of the applicant’s knowledge and understands that willfully providing false or misleading statements may constitute grounds for program ineligibility. 

Non-discrimination
Marketing to and coordination with income-eligible renters and purchasers of the Income-Restricted Units shall be in compliance with all applicable Federal, state and local laws related to fair housing rules. Income review, applicant eligibility review, and related procedures shall not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, health status, source of income such as disability insurance, Social Security, TANF, or any other basis prohibited by Federal, State or local law.

Confidentiality
All information and material provided as part of the application for affordable housing and for the income review process shall be kept confidential and shall be used solely by the City, administrative agent, Developer/Property Manager, and mortgage lenders (if applicable) only as needed to determine the applicant's income eligibility for affordable housing. With the exception of any information required to be disclosed under Federal, State or local law, or any information which is required to be made public pursuant to this Agreement, information provided as part of the application may not be disclosed to any other parties without the written permission of the applicant. With the further exception that by submitting this Form the applicant consents to receiving information regarding updates about affordable housing opportunities via email or other electronic media. This obligation shall survive the expiration or termination of the Affordable Housing Agreement for all projects under consideration. Applicant(s) represents that all information provided in the application is accurate and true to the best of the applicant’s knowledge and that willfully providing false or misleading statements may constitute grounds for program ineligibility.
