Accreditation for clinical practice: accreditation with one of the following regulatory bodies, allowing you to provide one-to-one individual therapy confers automatic eligibility (in conjunction with a bachelors (Hons) degree in any subject) to enter a UK Schema Therapy certification programme:
a. BABCP (Full accreditation is required)
b. BACP (at least accredited membership is required MBACP (ACCRED))
c. Psychologists are not required to belong to the BABCP or BACP but must be registered with the HCPC as practicing (counselling, clinical or forensic) psychologists.
d. Applicants accredited to organisations not listed above will require full accreditation with their own organisations (such as UKCP, BPC, BPF, NCS, etc) and their applications will be considered on a case-by-case basis and will be required to meet UK Minimum Standards for eligibility.
e. Applicants not holding accredited membership to one of the above bodies may still be eligible to join an ISST-approved training programme if they hold a core qualification in mental health. Please contact us for more details.
