Hundreds of thousands of adults in Aotearoa experience chronic loneliness and social disconnection. Many are not in crisis, but they’re not fully okay either - and often fall through the cracks of existing support services.

Human Time is a new social idea based in Ruapehu/Whanganui that plans to offer meaningful one-on-one time with a supportive person. It’s not counselling or therapy, but simply being there with you - talking, walking, doing activities together, or just sharing time in a way that helps people feel seen, valued, and connected.

We are exploring the need and feasibility of Human Time in our community. Your answers will help us understand

• Who might benefit most from this service
• What kinds of activities people would like
• What would make it safe, accessible, and valuable
• How affordable the service should be
