Demographics and Entrepreneurship in Guam- Voluntary Consent
You are being invited to participate in a research study titled “Demographics and Entrepreneurship in Guam: Identifying “Startuppers” for Sustainable Development in a Small Island Economy”. This study is being done by Dr. James Ji, Dr. Fred Schumann and Dr. Austin Shelton from the University of Guam.
The purpose of this research study is to gain an understanding of current entrepreneurs in the territory of Guam and provide recommendations for educational and support programs targeting current and potential entrepreneurs on the island to encourage sustainable development and improve the quality of life for island residents. If you agree to the term and participate in the study, you will be asked to complete this online survey/questionnaire. This should take approximately 15-20 minutes of your time. Your responses will remain completely anonymous and no identifiable information (i.e., email address) will be collected.
You are free to withdraw from this survey at any time without penalty or loss of benefits to which you would otherwise be entitled. Should a physical injury occur, appropriate first aid will be provided, but no financial compensation will be given. Further information can be obtained from the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at the University of Guam concerning pertinent questions about the research and an explanation of your rights as a research subject.
