Artspace Student Apprenticeship Program 2021
Mapper's Delight with Rap Research Lab
20 New Haven teens will work with lead artist Tahir Hemphill to develop tools to empower them in discussions of how technology is used at the intersection of popular culture and the criminal justice system.
Participants will consider 21st century intersections of race and technology, artificial intelligence (AI), community data projects, and hands-on experience exploring culturally relevant Big Data.
Hemphill and the students will design, present, and moderate community data events that introduce New Haven residents to this cultural and technical landscape.
