Bike to Shop Days 2019: Guided Rides
Be part of any of our free and friendly local rides across Metro Vancouver led by knowledgeable ride leaders.

Bike to Shop Days is a free, family-friendly community event that encourages community members to use their bike for transportation. Registration is free, makes you eligible for our grand prize bike pack and gives you access to free snacks, giveaways, prizes, guided rides and tips on carrying items by bike all weekend long more info at bikehub.ca/biketoshop

Guided rides take place on Saturday June 1 and Sunday June 2 and are free to all those registered for Bike to Shop Days! Our rides reached capacity last year, register today!

What to expect from a Guided Ride:
- Rides are 90-120 minutes
- Bike with experienced ride leaders
- Opportunity to shop at local, bike-friendly businesses
- Tips on how carrying things by bike
- Increased confidence on riding in city conditions
- Rides end at one of our Bike to Shop Days celebration stations for snacks, free bike mechanics, and opportunities to win great prizes
- Good times, exercise, and an opportunity to connect with the community

Vancouver and Granville Island Market Ride
- Departure: 10:30am @ Ontario & Athletes Way
- Highlights: Visit a few infrastructure projects and end at the beautiful Granville Island Market. The Children's Festival will also be going on at Granville Island so this is a great ride for families.
- Note: This ride is one way, our guides can provide info/tips on routes off the island and to your destination.
North Shore and Lower Lonsdale Cruise Info
Departure: 10:30am in East Van (location TBD)
Highlights: Cruise over the Iron Workers Bridge and see the sights. End at the beautiful Lonsdale Quay and surrounding neighbourhood.
Note: Stop and shop in the area! If you'd like a ride back with our guides, they will leave 1 hour after you arrive in Lonsdale.
North Shore Festival Tour Info
Departure: 4pm at Hastings and Hornby Plaza
Highlights: Cruise over the beautiful Lions Gate Bridge and stop to see the views. We will be visiting two festivals on this tour, Capilano Mall's NOSH food festival and West Van's Bridge Festival with music, games, and more !

Steveston Farmers Market Ride Info
Departure: 10:30am @ Marine Canada Line Station (Exact location TBD)
Highlights: Cruise over the bike bridge! End at the quaint Steveston Farmers and Artisan market!
Note: Stop and shop in the area! If you'd like a ride back with our guides, they will leave 1 hour after you arrive in Lonsdale.
