Share your memories of 30 years ago at UMHS!
The buildings we now call University Hospital and the Taubman Center opened in February 1986.
The UMHS Department of Communication is collecting memories and photos from anyone who remembers this momentous occasion in U-M medical history!
We'll share them as we celebrate this milestone and prepare for the U-M Bicentennial in 2017.
Please tell us your name and email address
What were you doing at the U-M medical campus in 1986?
Were you on staff or faculty? Training for your career? A patient or patient's parent? On the construction crew?
Share your favorite memories of Old Main hospital, the Replacement Hospital Project, or the "new" University Hospital/Taubman Center
What has changed the most at UMHS since 1986? What has stayed the same?
Do you have photos of UMHS from the mid-80s you can share? (Especially photos from the move from Old Main, opening day, dedication or other events?)
Scan them in and send them to
! Or save them to a place like Flickr or Dropbox and enter the link below.
May we quote from the memories you've shared?
For instance, in Health System Headlines or on UMHS social media
