COME HOME TO NJC50 ROAD RUN
Dear Alumnus/ Alumna and/or ex-staff,

This year is our College's 50th anniversary and we would like all past and present NJCians (students and staff) to celebrate the occasion together at the NJC50 Road Run event.

Date: 23 Feb 2019 (Sat)
Time: 8 am to Noon
Venue: National Junior College Sports Complex

Alumni please indicate your interest so we may prepare to host you and your family. Ensure your email is correct as we will be emailing you updates and details.

We welcome you to join our fun run/walk (3.2 km) and/or competitive run (3.2 km). Registration for the competitive run (3.2 km) will be on the day itself. There will be a limit to the number of competitors so arrive early to obtain your run tag! Please refer to the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire below before signing up for the run.

If you intend to take part in the competitive OR fun run, please read through the questions carefully and answer ‘YES’ or ‘NO’ honestly. If you have honestly answered ‘NO’ to all questions you can be reasonably sure that you are at low risk to participate in this exercise event. If you answered “Yes” to any of the questions in the health declaration you will not be able to take part in the NJC50 Road Run. You will need to be certified by your doctor that you are in good fitness condition before signing up for the event. 1. Has your doctor ever informed you that you have heart condition and that you should only do physical activity recommended by a doctor? 2. In the past month, have you had chest pain when you engage in physical activity or when not participating in any physical activity at all? 3. In the past month, have you lost your balance because of dizziness or even lose consciousness? 4. Do you have any bone, joint or muscle problem (e.g. back, knee, hip, shoulder or ankle) that could be made worse by participating in physical activity? 5. Is your doctor currently prescribing drugs (for example, water pills) for your blood pressure or heart condition?6.
