Solidarity is Sacred: Public Worship & Action for Immigration Justice RSVP Form

On Good Friday, April 3rd at 4pm at the JFK Building in downtown Boston, join Christians and people of all faiths in prayer and protest in solidarity with our immigrant neighbors. 

During Holy Week, we remember Jesus’ persecution and death at the hands of the Roman Empire. This memory calls us to be in solidarity with the crucified peoples of the present, especially our immigrant neighbors. From the cross to the detention center, all state violence must end. This Good Friday, April 3rd at 4PM, we will lament the violence against our immigrant neighbors, demand the abolition of ICE, and hear again God’s call to loose the bonds of injustice and set every captive free (Isaiah 58:6). While this action is based in the Christian tradition and practice of the stations of the cross, people of all faiths and no faiths are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Este Viernes Santo, el 3 de abril a las 4pm, en Boston, únete con el pueblo cristiano y gente de todas creencias en oración y protesta en solidaridad con nuestras comunidades.

Durante la Semana Santa, recordamos la persecución y muerte de Jesús a manos del Imperio Romano. Este recuerdo llama a ser solidarios con los pueblos crucificados del presente, especialmente con nuestros vecinos inmigrantes. Desde la cruz hasta el centro de detención, toda violencia estatal debe cesar. Este Viernes Santo, 3 de abril, a las 4 p. m., lamentaremos la violencia contra nuestros vecinos inmigrantes, exigimos la abolición del Servicio de Inmigración y Control de Aduanas (ICE) y escucharemos de nuevo el llamado de Dios a romper las ataduras de la injusticia y liberar a todo cautivo (Isaías 58:6). Si bien esta acción se basa en la tradición cristiana y la práctica del vía crucis, se anima a asistir a personas de todas las religiones, y también a personas sin religión.
