Building Safer Communities - Workshop Sign Ups
Building Safer Community is an initiative funded by the Region of Peel, aimed at reducing gun and gang violence among South Asian youth aged 16-29 in the Peel region. The workshops are culturally sensitive and trauma informed to support at-risk youth. 

We’re excited to introduce Pathways to Peace, a 5-week workshop designed to support South Asian youth aged 16-29. This initiative, funded by the Region of Peel and in collaboration with Peel Children's Aid Society, offers culturally specific resources and support. This workshop will take place at 25 Capston Drive, Mississauga, ON, every Wednesday from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, from August 7th to September 4th.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Addressing key risk factors and promoting positive behaviors.
  • Building skills for workforce readiness, employment, and financial literacy.
  • Activities focused on self-care & coping strategies.
  • Guest speakers and interactive sessions to support positive future planning.
