During 22-24 March, 2023, the United Nations is organising a global Water Conference for the first time after 1977 - almost 50 years later. the World Council of Churches Ecumenical Water Network is participating in the conference along with its partners and organising this side event on the World Water Day - 22 March 2023, titled as "Faith community is a Blue Community".  With the onslaught of privatisation, commodification and financialisation  of water, the faith communities along with the water justice movement  are promoting the concept of "Blue Community" as a solution to the global water crisis.  Noted speakers and experts on water justice issues from around the world will be speaking at the event.
