Thank you for your interest in auditioning for Open Door Community Theatre's production of The Producers!

Please closely read ALL of the information below before completing your audition form:

We hope to see a broad and diverse spectrum of performers at auditions and are open to non-traditional casting. 

This show has sensitive subject matter. Please note that if you are cast, you may be asked to portray a role of a different gender, or to wear costuming or portray characters who are Nazis. 

Please prepare 60-90 seconds of a musical theater piece for your vocal audition. Bring sheet music in the key in which you plan to perform (an accompanist will be provided; tracks or a capella are also acceptable), a resume, and a headshot. Come dressed to move - after your vocal audition be prepared to stay to do a small group dance audition.  

Auditions will take place: 

Thursday, March 27th 6:00-9:00pm

Sunday, March 30th 2:15 - 4:30pm

Monday, March 31st 6:00-9:00pm. 

Invited callbacks will take place on Tuesday, April 1st: 6:00-9:00pm.

Auditions and callbacks will be held at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 1583 Radio Dr, Woodbury, MN 55125. 

Video auditions will only be accepted on a case-by-case basis and are due by Wednesday, March 26th. Please reach out to sarah.schmitt@opendoorcommunitytheatre.org for such requests.

Rehearsals will be held Sunday-Thursday (6:30-9:30pm) beginning on Monday, April 21st. Due to the Memorial Day holiday, there will be no rehearsal on May 25th and May 26th. 

Important dates - must be available to be considered for casting:

Monday, April 21st: Full cast meet and greet/read-through

Saturday June 7th: Load in to ERHS

Sunday June 8th: Cue to cue (tentatively 12-8) with provided meal break

Monday June 9 - Thursday June 12: Tech rehearsals

Sunday, June 22nd: STRIKE after 2pm matinee

We will do our best to only call performers when they are expected to rehearse, to use everyone’s time wisely, and conflicts will be honored to the best of our abilities. Rehearsals will be held in Woodbury or neighboring community - more details TBD.

Performances will be June 13th, June 14th, June 16, and June 20, June 21st at 7pm, and June 22nd at 2pm. Performances will be held at The Loft Stage at East Ridge High School, 4200 Pioneer Dr, Woodbury, MN 55129.

While ODCT is no longer requiring proof of COVID vaccination to audition, it does reserve the right to ask cast members to test or mask following known exposures in the interest of the healthy and safety of fellow cast members, crew members, and the directing team.
