Description

The Transbay Joint Powers Authority (TJPA) and Engaging Math Circles invite you to a math-filled quest — a magical day for the whole family.

Enter the enchanted realm of wizards, magic, and mystery, where clever thinking and a strong dose of imagination will guide your path. You'll visit a whimsical wizard school and work together to decipher enchanted messages, crack magical codes, and solve spellbinding puzzles — each one bringing you closer to the secrets hidden in this mystical world.

This event is designed for students in grades K–6, participating alongside their parents or guardians.

What to Expect on Game Day:

  • Check in at the Welcome Table to receive your Quest materials.
  • Follow the trail of puzzle stations throughout the park — each features a unique math or logic puzzle and a friendly volunteer to assist if needed.
  • Work as a team to solve each challenge.
  • Go at your own pace and take breaks as needed — most families finish in about 1.5 hours.
  • Rolling admission — arrive any time during the event window, but please plan to come at least 1 hour before closing to ensure you have enough time.
  • Bring water and a picnic or snacks, and enjoy a fun, brainy day outdoors with friends and family.

A Note to Families:

Some challenges may be tricky — and that’s part of the fun! This is a math-focused quest, and some puzzles might feel different from what you're used to. Give them all a try, take your time, and don’t worry if you get stuck. It’s absolutely okay to struggle — that’s how problem-solving works. Ask for help if you need it, and enjoy the process together. No pressure, just play!

Spaces are limited, so be sure to reserve your spot in the Quest!
