The Indian Health Center of Santa Clara Valley (IHCSCV) is hosting a Transitional Age Youth Workforce Development, welcoming American Indian/Alaskan Native youth ages 18-24. This space will be an opportunity to learn skills for the workforce through a cultural lens. The presentations and workshops during this event will cover topics including resume & cover letter building, financial literacy, communication, and stress management.
Participants will receive a stipend of $200 dollars for their attendance. Participants will receive an additional stipend of $250 to purchase professional clothing, accompanied by an IHC staff member. In order to be eligible for the stipends, participants must attend both the orientation and the main event.
Participants are expected to attend an orientation prior to the event date. The orientation will be held on Friday, December 2nd at 5:00pm-7:30pm. If you are unable to attend the orientation on this date, please let us know. A secondary orientation date on Saturday, December 3rd from 3:00-5:30pm may be available upon request.
