Directors are required to attend Virtual and one In-Person  Board Meetings.  The virtual meetings are typically held on mid-week afternoons for 75-90 minutes.  The in person meeting is a once-per-year retreat in the fall, lasting approximately 6 hours in a  location between Washington DC, Annapolis, and Baltimore with an optional site visit the following day.  Are you able to attend these meetings on a regular basis?

Most board committee meetings are held 2-3 times per year, virtually, for 30-45 minutes each meeting. Can you commit to attending a committee meeting on a regular basis?

Board members are expected to make a thoughtful financial contribution at some point during each year.  Typical gifts are $100 - $1,000.  Alternately, some board members are able to connect GTA with corporate or matched funding opportunities in their network.  Can you commit to supporting the organization in one or both of these ways?
