The concession of the Port of Itajaí, qualified at the 13th PPI Council meeting, by means of Resolution nº 121, of 2020, converted into Decree nº 10.484, of 2020, determines the concession of the administration of the port in addition to container operations. The future concessionaire will be able to carry out both operations directly.

The project aims not only to modernize the port management model, but also to attract new investments in infrastructure, with expected investments on the order of R$2.9 billion. The main objectives are to develop the terminal, purchase equipment, and improve the waterway and docking systems.

The contract has a term of 35 years, extendable successively up to the limit of 70 years, at the discretion of the Ministry of Infrastructure. The criterion for judging the auction will be the highest award value, with a minimum amount of R$ 1.00 (one Brazilian real).  

The event will consist of virtual one-on-one meetings of up to 1 hour, pre-scheduled with the registered participants, with the dynamic of the project presentation, followed by a Q&A. Places are limited.
