This week-long summer camp, managed and delivered by the Departments of Economics, and Mathematics and Statistics, provides 30 high achieving high school students entering grades 10, 11, or 12 an opportunity to see the types of courses actuarial majors take in college and to undertake a team project to price insurance for a factious firm based upon its employees characteristics. In an interactive environment, students will learn about:• The fundamentals of actuarial science• College level concepts in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, and data analytics• Leadership skills• Dynamics of team work• Presentation skills• Data Analytic skills
