Oppose Ghana's anti-LGBTQIA+ Bill
We, the Coalition for Queer Ghanaian Liberation Toronto, are urging the Ghanaian High Commissioner to Canada to strongly oppose the passage of Ghana's anti-LGBTQIA+ Bill.

On February 28, 2024, Ghana's Parliament voted to pass the HUMAN SEXUAL RIGHTS AND FAMILY VALUES ACT, 2024 which, according to AlJazeera "would punish those who take part in LGBTQ sexual acts, as well as those who promote the rights of gay, lesbian or other non-conventional sexual or gender identities with time in prison."

In order for it to officially become law, it must be validated by President Nana Akufo-Addo. There is still time to stop this from happening and we are assembling a delegation to present a letter to the High Commissioner H.E. ANSELM RANSFORD SOWAH, asking him to publicly denounce the passage of the bill.
