Thank you for your interest in helping with our district musical: The Wizard of Oz. We are looking for responsible middle and high school students, adults, or parents to help with the behind the scenes jobs for The Wizard of Oz. The rehearsals run from January 8th to March 15th. Rehearsals are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm at Newbery High School auditorium. The performances are the week of March 18th-23rd. This is an excellent opportunity to experience theatre without being on stage. These roles are critical to the success of the show.

Backstage Crew- in charge of moving scenery and props (Will need to be at rehearsals starting in January)

Props- Organize props in staging area behind the scenes. (Starts coming to rehearsals in March))

Costume- Organizes costume table (Starts coming to rehearsals in March)

Make-up- Help paint faces for each show. (Starts March 11th-23rd)

Choreography Captains- Teach provided choreography to elementary students(Will need to be at rehearsals starting in January)

Set and Prop Building- This needs to be completed in January and February

Backstage Supervision for students during the performances March 19th- 23rd

Sewing Costumes- help sewing costume pieces

Costume Building- Helping assemble costumes
