As many of you will know, MAPA Project has been developing an African Conservation Project Registry to complement the existing map of Protected Areas. For everyone to get the most out of such a registry, we’ve also developed a new online search facility. This will let anyone search the registry database for African conservation points of interest. It searches for parks, projects, unprotected critical habitats and other points of interest and you can download your results as mini Google Earth layers, excel files, or just investigate them on our browser-based map. As the number of projects in the database grows (we currently have 500 and are aiming for 5,000!) this is going to be a very interesting resource.
Can you spare a few moments to help us test the searchable map? We want to make it as useful and accurate as possible and for that we need feedback.
