The Government Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE) is a national network of government municipalities working to achieve racial equity and advance opportunities for all. GARE works effectively when municipal governments create authentic, accountable partnerships with community members. This is what we are asking for in Brookline. GARE now functions in over 30 states and 100 cities, helping local governments to understand the root causes of structural racism by using racial equity tools to create proactive policies and procedures advancing racial equity. In partnership with the Brookline Commission on Diversity and Inclusion, Brookline residents have now begun the process of becoming a member of the GARE network along with the City of Boston. Please sign on to support the broad adoption of racial equity tools across town departments in Brookline and to be involved in making Brookline a truly equitable town for all.

We, the undersigned support the passage of the Warrant Article urging the Town of Brookline to implement the tools of GARE in order to make Brookline a truly equitable town for all.
