2025 AWL Board of Directors Application
NOTE: Applications are due on or before 5:00 p.m. C.S.T. Friday, September 27, 2024. Timely submission of this form is a prerequisite to appointment to the Board.
2025 Board Positions: Pursuant to AWL’s By-Laws, the Board of Directors shall be composed of twenty-seven (27) persons who shall be the Corporation’s President, the President-Elect, the Secretary, the Assistant Secretary, the Treasurer, the Immediate Past President, Awards and Scholarship Co-Chairs, Membership Co-Chairs, Women in the Profession Co-Chairs, Social Activities Chair, Golf Chair and Vice Chair, Fundraising Chair, E-Newsletter/Spotlight Chair and Vice Chair, Trial Symposium/CLE Co-Chairs, Community Support Co-Chairs, and five (5) At-Large Board Members that serve at the direction of the President.
Term of Service: The 2025 Board of Directors will be approved and installed at the Annual Meeting held prior to the AWL Holiday Party on December 3, 2024 (4:30 p.m. at Indian Hills Country Club), and will serve one term from January 1 to December 31, 2025.
Meetings: Members of the Board are required to attend at least 70% of the Board’s meetings. Meetings are held monthly. In 2025, they will be held on the third Thursday of each month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Meetings will be held virtually by Zoom except for one meeting per quarter, which will be held in person, location to be determined. In addition to board meetings, the mandatory Board Orientation for 2025 board members will be held on January 16, 2025 from 11:30 am – 3:00 pm (location to be determined).
