Red Shirt Day 2020 (June 3, 2020) - Mailing List
SAVE THE DATE: June 3, 2020, Wednesday
To raise awareness and rally Canadians together in celebration of National AccessAbility Week, Easter Seals Canada first launched Red Shirt Day in 2019. By wearing red on the Wednesday/the middle of National AccessAbility Week* each year, Canadians can:
- visibly demonstrate their support for accessibility issues and inclusion of people living with disabilities
- examine the accessibility and disability issues and barriers that are still affecting their communities, and take action
- celebrate gains made in accessibility and inclusion, and the contributions of people living with disabilities.
If your school, workplace, group or community is planning on observing Red Shirt Day in 2020, let us know and join the movement of Canadians across the country that are making this commitment. Easter Seals will send you periodic updates related to Red Shirt Day, such as posters, suggested activities and other resources.
Thank you for your support of Red Shirt Day, Easter Seals and helping Canadians who are living with disabilities be #unstoppABLE!
*National AccessAbility Week takes place starting the last Sunday of May each year.
