Children's Pageant:
Baby Miss & Mr., Toddler Miss & Mr., Tiny Miss & Little Miss Attire: Sunday’s Best –Natural, very minimal makeup is allowed for Tiny Miss & Little Miss *(No Glitz Pageant Wear) Judges will be aware of this rule and points will be deducted if worn. Judging for Baby and Toddler Miss & Mr. is based on personality and attire/appearance
Petite Miss Attire: Sunday’s Best, age-appropriate hair & makeup
Junior King Attire: Sunday’s Best, dress pants and tie
*Judging for Tiny Miss, Little Miss, Petite Miss, & Junior King is based on stage personality, attire and appearance, and modeling.
Bad Sportsmanship will not be tolerated. Every Contestant who competes is a WINNER!
Queen's Pageant:
Contestants MUST check in at the Community Center before heading to interview.
Interview Competition for Deb Miss, Junior, Teen, Ms. & Miss Contestants will be conducted starting at approximately 9:00 AM. Interviews will be conducted off-site at the Old Fire Station- in the New Iberia City Park, 401 Marie Street, New Iberia, LA 70560. Hair and makeup will NOT be allowed at the Interview location. Hair and makeup locations will be available at the Community Center starting at 8:00 AM. Due to limited space inside the venue, only contestants will be permitted inside. No guests will be allowed in the venue during the interview competition. Guests are asked to drop off contestants and wait in the parking lot. Please come dressed and ready for your interview, as there will be no changing facilities available. Contestants should arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled interview time to complete check-in. Assigned interview start times will be announced a week prior to the pageant. Interviews will consist of a panel of judges. Interview questions will consist of information given from the entry form but not limited, Judges may ask additional questions regarding the history of Festival and/or New Iberia. Interview attire will consist of a suit/dress suit, nude closed toe shoes and stockings.
Afternoon Competition starts at 2:00 PM, all contestants must be checked in by 1:00 PM. Deb Miss contestants are required to have an on-stage introduction, no longer than 30 seconds and should include name and contestant number. Junior, Teen, Miss, & Ms. contestants are required to have an on-stage introduction, no longer than 60 seconds. Evening attire will consist of a long formal/Pageant Gown. MISS CONTESTANTS ONLY, will be asked to answer an on stage question from the Festival’s Board of Directors choice.
