Entry Fees:

  • Children's Pageant | $60   (Entry Fee includes photogenic)

~Door Entries will be available on Pageant Day - $75.00 (CASH ONLY)  This includes ONLY Baby Miss & Mr., Toddler Miss & Mr., Tiny Miss & Jr. King Divisions

 *Photo must be 5x7 or 4x6, bring photo day of the pageant!
Rules & Regulations 
  1. Ages are as of October 4, 2026

  2. All Miss Contestants must be born a female and a resident of Louisiana. 

  3. Contestants do NOT have to be of Spanish descent to compete for this title. 

  4. Baby Miss Contestants must be between the ages of 0-11 months, Baby Mr. Contestants must be between the ages of 0-23 months, Toddler Miss Contestants must be between the ages of 12-23 months, Toddler Mr. Contestants must be between the ages of 2-4, Tiny Miss Contestants must be between the ages of 2-3, Little Miss Contestants must be between the ages of 4-5, Junior King Contestants must be between the ages of 5-7, Petite Miss Contestants must be between the ages of 6-8. 

  5. Deb Miss Contestants must be between the ages of 9-11, Junior Contestants must be between the ages of 12-14, Teen Contestants must be between the ages of 15-17. Miss Contestants must be between the ages of 18-23. 

  6. Ms. Contestants may be married or single and over the age of 24. 

  7. Deb Miss, Junior, Teen, & Miss Contestants must be single and have never been married, pregnant, nor had a child. 

  8. Deb Miss, Junior, Teen, Miss, & Ms. Contestants must be of good moral character and never been convicted of any felony

  9. Deb Miss, Junior, Teen, Miss, & Ms. contestants must NOT hold any contracted Festival titles and shall NOT enter any other pageants throughout their (1 year) reign as a Spanish Festival Queen. 

  10. There will be a mandatory orientation for  Deb Miss, Junior, Teen, Miss, & Ms. Contestants on Sunday, September 20th at 1:00 PM,  at the Sliman Theatre, 129 E. Main Street, New Iberia, LA. 70560.   Attire is business casual/church attire, NO JEANS PLEASE! At orientation, contestants will be taking headshots for People’s Choice Award along with pulling their contestant number for pageant day. 


Competition & Attire

Children's Pageant:

Baby Miss & Mr., Toddler Miss & Mr., Tiny Miss & Little Miss Attire: Sunday’s Best –Natural, very minimal makeup is allowed for Tiny Miss & Little Miss  *(No Glitz Pageant Wear)  Judges will be aware of this rule and points will be deducted if worn. Judging for Baby and Toddler Miss & Mr. is based on personality and attire/appearance

Petite Miss Attire: Sunday’s Best, age-appropriate hair & makeup

Junior King Attire: Sunday’s Best, dress pants and tie 

*Judging for Tiny Miss, Little Miss, Petite Miss, & Junior King is based on stage personality, attire and appearance, and modeling. 

Bad Sportsmanship will not be tolerated. Every Contestant who competes is a WINNER!


Queen's Pageant: 

Contestants MUST check in at the Community Center before heading to interview.

Interview Competition for Deb Miss, Junior, Teen, Ms. & Miss Contestants will be conducted starting at approximately 9:00 AM.  Interviews will be conducted off-site at the Old Fire Station-  in the New Iberia City Park, 401 Marie Street, New Iberia, LA 70560 Hair and makeup will NOT be allowed at the Interview location. Hair and makeup locations will be available at the Community Center starting at 8:00 AM. Due to limited space inside the venue, only contestants will be permitted inside. No guests will be allowed in the venue during the interview competition. Guests are asked to drop off contestants and wait in the parking lot. Please come dressed and ready for your interview, as there will be no changing facilities available. Contestants should arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled interview time to complete check-in. Assigned interview start times will be announced a week prior to the pageant. Interviews will consist of a panel of judges.  Interview questions will consist of information given from the entry form but not limited, Judges may ask additional questions regarding the history of Festival and/or New Iberia. Interview attire will consist of a suit/dress suit, nude closed toe shoes and stockings. 

Afternoon Competition starts at 2:00 PM, all contestants must be checked in by 1:00 PM. Deb Miss contestants are required to have an on-stage introduction, no longer than 30 seconds and should include name and contestant number. Junior, Teen, Miss, & Ms. contestants are required to have an on-stage introduction, no longer than 60 seconds. Evening attire will consist of a long formal/Pageant Gown. MISS CONTESTANTS ONLY, will be asked to answer an on stage question from the Festival’s Board of Directors choice. 

   


Pageant Day- Sunday, October 4th, 2026
Children's Pageant starts at 10:00 AM
  1.  All Children Pageant Contestants must be checked in by 9:30 AM, doors will be open at 8:00 AM. 

  2.  Door Admission: $10 - CASH ONLY, everyone must pay except contestants, 5 years and under gets in FREE. If planning to attend both pageants there will be a discounted admission price of $15 - CASH ONLY. 

  3.  Concessions will be sold inside the Community Center during the Children’s Pageant

  4.  Little Miss, Petite Miss, Deb Miss & Junior King are required to sign contracts immediately following the Children’s Pageant. A Parent or guardian must be present with the newly crowned Queen/King. All rules and regulations will be reviewed. All newly crowned royalty will be required to purchase a 2027 Festival T-shirt following the pageant- YOUTH $20 | ADULTS $25.   The shirt should be purchased and ready to wear the following weekend at the World Champion Gumbo Cook-Off, held at Bouligny Plaza in Downtown New Iberia.

  5. All newly crowned 2026 Spanish Festival Royalty are to attend the Deb Miss, Junior, Teen, Miss, & Ms. Spanish Festival Queen’s Pageant at 2 PM with crown and banner. The 2026 Spanish Festival Royalty will be introduced on-stage and will be required to stay till the end of the pageant for the official 2026 Spanish Festival Royalty photos.

Queen's Pageant starts at 2:00 PM
  1. All Contestants must be checked in 15 minutes prior to their assigned interview time which will take place at the Old Fire Station- New Iberia City Park, 401 Marie Street, New Iberia, LA 70560

  2. All Contestants must be checked in by 1:00 PM for the afternoon competition at the Cyr Gates Community Center, New Iberia City Park. 

  3. Door Admission: $10, everyone must pay except contestants, 5 years and under gets in FREE.

  4. Concessions will be sold inside the Community Center during the Queen’s Pageant.

  5. A dressing area will be available for all contestants. 

  6. Bad sportsmanship will not be tolerated. Every contestant that competes is a winner! 

  7. Contract signing will take place immediately following the Queen’s Pageant. All rules and regulations will be reviewed. A Parent or Guardian must be present for the contract signing for the newly crowned Deb Miss, Junior, Teen, & Miss Queens. All newly crowned royalty will be required to purchase a 2027 Festival T-shirt following the pageant- YOUTH $20 | ADULTS $25.   The shirt should be purchased and ready to wear the following weekend at the World Champion Gumbo Cook-Off, held at Bouligny Plaza in Downtown New Iberia.


Awards

~ Little Queens will receive a custom Spanish inspired crown and elegant formal banner. 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Alternates of each Miss division will receive a rhinestone tiara and an alternate certificate.

~ Little Kings will receive a custom Spanish inspired crown and elegant formal banner. 1st Alternates of each division will receive a Spanish Festival medallion.

Photogenic division winners will receive a gift.

~ All contestants will receive a Spanish novelty!

~ Deb Miss, Junior, Teen, & Ms. Spanish Festival Queens will receive a custom Spanish inspired Crown, Elegant Formal Banner, Custom Spanish Festival Award, and a Bouquet of Flowers. 

~ Miss Spanish Festival Queen XI will receive a custom Spanish inspired Crown and Scepter, Elegant Formal Banner, Custom designed Crown Box and Scepter Box, Custom designed Train & NEWLY designed Mantle, Custom Spanish Festival Award,  a Bouquet of Flowers, & paid Hotel stay and entry fee for the 2027 LAFF Queen’s Pageant which will be held in Baton Rouge, LA on February 18-21, 2027. Upon the completion and fulfillment of her contracted duties for the year, Miss Spanish Festival Queen XI will be presented with a $500 Scholarship.

~ 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Alternates of each division will receive a custom Spanish Festival award. 

People's Choice Awards

All Contestants will be able to participate in the People's Choice Award, $1 Per Vote!  Contestant with the most votes will win a custom award in the Children's Pageant & Queen's Pageant. Money proceeds will help fund the entry fee for the 2027 LAFF Pageant & Hotel Stay for our newly crowned Spanish Festival Queen XI.


Upon Winning...

The newly crowned 2026 Spanish Festival Royalty are required to attend the 13th Annual New Iberia Spanish Festival on April 16-18, 2027 and events leading up to Festival month such as:

World Championship Gumbo Cook-off, New Iberia Halloween Parade, Bless a Resident”  gift donation drive, Spanish Royalty Christmas Party, 2026 Royalty Photoshoot, television appearances and interviews. * Contracted Royalty would also be required to attend an etiquette class- TBA. 

Festival weekend activities will include: Opening Mass of Thanksgiving, Blessing of the Crochet Ceiling, Opening Ceremonies & Royalty Presentation, Running of the Bulls race, Queen’s Day activities, and more. 

The 2026 Spanish Festival Royalty are also required to attend the “Honoring of Francisco Bouligny” event on Labor Day, September 6th, 2027 along with the Annual Spanish King’s Ball on Saturday, October 2, 2027.
