Distance Learning
Dent-Phelps R-III distance learning will be available for COVID-19 related issues (compromised immune system, medically fragile, at-risk students or family members, or family preference for a restricted learning environment) that would prevent a student from participating safely in on-campus learning.

Distance learning will be provided by the Dent-Phelps staff in multiple formats including virtual and use the existing curriculum.

Parents will need to ensure that they have adequate access to internet and technology to participate in virtual instruction. Flash drives with instructional materials will be provided for those with limited access and the district will be extending its WiFi into the parking lot for instructional use.

Families who enroll in Dent-Phelps R-III distance learning must commit to the duration of a quarter at a time.
Students must physically reside in the Dent-Phelps R-III School District in order to sign up for the on-line classes.
If your child has an IEP for Special Education services, a staff member will contact you to work through the IEP process.

Please complete the following form to express your desire to take on-line classes during the 2020-21 school year, rather than seated classes offered at Dent-Phelps R-III by March 5, 2021. On-line classes will be fully aligned with the Missouri Learning Standards and students will be graded and promoted based upon their success in completing the on-line coursework/assessments. Some assessments may need to be taken with the classroom teacher one-on-one at a mutually agreed upon time. The amount of school work will be comparable to that of a seated class within a regular school day and will have specified due dates that must be adhered to.

Distance Learning for fourth quarter will begin March 8, 2021 and will conclude May 15, 2021.
