Thank you for your interest in volunteering with EtonHouse Community Fund (ECF). We look forward to journeying with you to make an impact in the lives of the children we serve!
Here's what you can expect:
- Teacher Everywhere is our volunteer training programme to equip volunteers with skills to engage children effectively and to facilitate the reading programme. All volunteers are required to participate in one onsite training session and two observations. Online training modules will be included covering skills-based topics.
- ECF partners social service agencies and community organisations to facilitate the weekly Joyful Learning reading programme at their centres. Please indicate your preferred locations/timings, and we will do our best to ensure the right fit with the centre's needs.
- Engaging children to build rapport on a regular basis creates a safe environment for learning. As such, we ask that volunteers commit to a minimum of 3 months (*6 months for SMU students) upon completion of the training.
