You are welcome to submit multiple proposals.
Please answer to the best of your knowledge; estimates are ok! Leave a blank if you're unsure. The goal is to give us an idea of your vision.
Be prepared to present your proposal to the board if requested.

others for ideas, and let us know if you wish to order a perusal (up to 2 per category). You may also want to review the list of past shows on our website HCT - Previous Shows to avoid submitting a proposal for a show we've recently done.

Summer Stars:
Proposal DUE Date: ALREADY FILLED.
- Ages: 8-15
- Rehearsals: 1 pm - 5 pm, June - July
- Performances: End of July 2026
- 36-40 Cast Members
- Show type: Jr./Kids Show - 1 Act, Rated G - PG
- Director Compensation: Usual $3,000*
After Dark:
Proposal DUE Date: December 5, 2025
- Ages: 15 - adult
- Rehearsals: May - July
- Performances: Thurs - Sun, End of July - August
- up to 25 Cast Members
- Show type: Full length musical production aimed at teens and adults in a small "black box" style theater, Rated PG - R
- Director Compensation: Usual $1,500*
Mainstage Show:
Proposal Due Date: December 5, 2025
- Ages: 9 - adult (generally cast as age-appropriate, per the script)
- Rehearsals: August - November
- Performances: Mid - End of November
- 36-45 Cast Members
- Show Type: Large Scale Full Length Musical production at the Convention Hall
- Target Audience: ALL AGES, Prefer Rated G - PG
- Director Compensation: Usual $4000*
HCT Theatre Academy: year-round
- Ages: Variable - (5 - 8), (8 - 12), (8 - 15), (15 - 25)
- Classes: Year-round
- 10-20 Students
- Show type: May have a recital or show but is not required.
- Director's Compensation: Varies $200 - $1200* Based on duration of the course.
*The final budget will be determined by the Creative Team in consultation with the Program Committee and the approval of the HCT Board of Director
