A Y staff member will email you instructions for completing the Pennsylvania State (PA) or New Jersey State (Hunterdon County/NJ) clearances/background checks as well as Federal and Y required trainings and clearances. Clearances and training are required for volunteers who assist with any YMCA programs and operations.

If you are only interested in River Crossing YMCA one-day special events, such as our Bucks County 5K, or Kids Triathlon, clearances and trainings are not required.

Clearance and training certificates must be submitted to River Crossing YMCA prior to your volunteer start date. Copies of clearances completed within the last five years will be accepted, upon review by River Crossing YMCA. Some clearance submissions take up to three weeks for results. FBI fingerprinting is required for applicants who have not lived in Pennsylvania for the last ten consecutive years.
