CHEMS/Non-CHEMS Training Survey
As some of you may have already read in the CHEMS Board meeting minutes, the 2020 WisDOT/CHEMS Annual Training Conference has been cancelled. This was a very tough decision and one that was not taken lightly by any of the Board members. However, due to the COVID-19 situation, many state and county employees are under travel restrictions that will prohibit them from attending. Therefore, in order to provide the best training conference possible, for as many people as possible, it was decided to postpone the event until the Fall of 2021 and use 2020 as an occasion to offer online training opportunities instead.

As part of those online training opportunities, we have decided to poll our group members and see who is willing and able to help us. As part of this training, we don't need just the "experts" or veteran users of the system or long term highway employees. We need everyone; everyday users/employees, just like you. If you're willing to volunteer your knowledge (however little or vast it may be), please fill out the survey below.

As users/employees, we often have to call another county to ask a question or gain insight on how to perform a certain task. If you've had to do this and are impressed with how another person has helped you through a task, fill out the survey below and let us know. We'll gladly reach out and let that person know they've impressed someone and ask if they'd be willing to help us as well.

As users/employees, we have ideas on what we'd like to learn a little bit more about. If that's you, fill out the survey below to let us know what you'd like to see offered as part of this online training opportunity. No suggestion is a dumb one. However, the Board will review all suggestions and pick the one(s) that will benefit the majority.

Every answer given on this survey is greatly appreciated. It will only help to make things better for everyone. As officers of your elected CHEMS Board of Directors, we sincerely thank you for your time!
If the CHEMS Board offers you all of the necessary technology and instructions to "make it happen", are you willing to volunteer your time and knowledge and help us with a SHORT training video (5-10 minutes)? If so, please list your name, best way to contact you and what you'd like to volunteer to do.
Word of mouth is often the best way to find someone when hiring a contractor; why should it be any different when trying to find a trainer? So has a fellow county or state employee helped you through a task and left you impressed with their skillset or knowledge base? If so, let us know their name, contact info and how they helped. We'll reach out to them from there.
Are you looking for more instruction on how to do something? Are you hoping to see more information on how something works? Are you in need of a "how to manual" on a certain task? Please let us know what it is and we'll do our best to make it happen. If you happen to have a suggestion on a good trainer for your suggestion(s), let us know that too.
