This Personal Data Protection Notice ("Notice") is issued for the purpose of informing you how we process your personal data as a potential employee of EIG Bhd, its affiliates, subsidiaries, associated entities and any of their branches and offices (collectively or individually "EIG").

We process personal data provided by you in the course of the recruitment process and if successful your employment and these personal data include your personal particulars such as your name, HKIC/ Passport number, correspondence address, and contact details, resume, your employee provident fund account number, social security account number, and income tax number, education background, your employment records, referees, and all other information required for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (“Personal Data”).

It is part of our recruitment policy that for certain positions, you will be subject to certain employee vetting checks as required by us, whether before or during employment. If an application for employment is successful, data about employees may also be collected from employees from time to time during the period of their employment with us and from other sources such as third party background checks.

These Personal Data are being held by us for the purposes of considering and processing employment applications including pre-employment checks communicating with you, and if successful administering your employment with us, determining and reviewing salaries, incentives, bonuses and other benefits, and career development, as well as compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, prevent, detection or investigation of crime or possible criminal activities, administration of justice, enforcing or defending our legal rights, obtaining legal advice, internal administration, and such other purposes which are related to the foregoing and/or as may be directed or consented to by you (“Purpose”). Failure to supply such data will result in us being unable to process your employment application and perform our obligations under any potential employment contract with us. Your Personal Data will be kept confidential by us but we may provide your personal data to third parties, whether within or outside Hong Kong, for the Purposes including our data processors, governmental or regulatory bodies or service providers / advisors.

If you wish to request:
a) For access to your personal information;
b) For your Personal Data to be corrected or updated; or
c) To withdraw your consent or limit the use of your Personal Data, Please submit your written request to HR Department.
