Please read over Code of Ethics and agree/disagree
Code of Ethics: As a responsible pet owner, I have a personal, lifetime concern for each dog I own. I offer love, training and regular veterinary care. With this ideal in mind, and with full recognition that the best possible motives don’t always produce perfect results, I pledge to: a. Provide all dogs in my care with adequate quantities of nourishing food and fresh water. b. Provide safe, secure and clean facilities with adequate shelter. c. Provide appropriate veterinary care to all dogs, including immunizations and parasite treatments when needed. d. Provide loving attention to every dog I keep. 2. Breeding Practices: a. I understand that there are too many unwanted dogs being euthanized or waiting in shelters across North America. With this knowledge I do not breed my dogs or encourage others to do so. I acknowledge that all animals in my care should be spayed or neutered. b. I accept responsibility for any unaltered dogs in my possession, and agree to ensure that they will at no time become pregnant or impregnate another dog. I also agree to spay and neuter any future dogs in my possession that enter my household. 3. Public Contact: a. Conduct all my affairs concerning dogs in such a way that my behavior brings credit to the image of dogs and dog ownership in my community. (INCLUDES Social networking, blogs, etc) 1. Keep Rescue in good light - any issues need to go thru appropriate Coordinators privately to be dealt with, NOT online b. Always be responsible when staying in motels and leave accommodations in the condition I found them. c. Clean up after my dogs when walking or exercising them in public and keep them under control at all times.
