Are you interested in attending our class on Palestine and understanding the current crisis in Gaza? Our class will be a 5 part series on the conflict, from the early 1900s to today. Course topics will include:
- What to watch for when talking about this conflict: signs of Islamophobia and Anti-Semitism
- Zionism and the formation of Israel
- A history of the region and conflict
- US involvement, both currently and historically
- What is happening in Gaza now - trusted news sources and how to get involved locally
Sessions will include small group discussions, critical examination of text and media, short lectures and creative ways to reflect and internalize learnings. Through learning together, we aim to build a community capable of deep conversations and informed decision making around the current crisis in Gaza.
