About the Scholarship
Disclosure Statement and Awarding Information
  1. The Illinois Pawnbrokers Association Frank Ingram Memorial Scholarships are two awards of $1,000 each. The two recipients may apply the funds to tuition, fees, and other expenses of their secondary education.
  2. Scholarship applicants will be notified via email of the outcome of their application. Applications are accepted April 1-30, 2025. Winners announced May 6. 2025. A celebratory luncheon is tentatively scheduled for June 14th and winners are expected to attend.  
  3. Applicants must be United States Citizens or eligible non-citizens who live in communities served by an IPA Member pawnshop. 
  4. Scholarship awards are nontransferable.
  5. Selection is based on the consensus of the IPA Scholarship Committee. All decisions of the committee are final.  
  6. Selection criteria include: accurate completion of application, financial need, and a demonstrated commitment to the community. 

Compliance

Students who submit an application certify the information provided on the application is correct to the best of their knowledge. Falsification of information will automatically disqualify a student from receiving any scholarships. Students agree that if awarded a scholarship, IPA may share their name and scholarship information with the local media, television, radio and/or the IPA website.
