UMBC Undergraduate Research Symposium Judging Volunteers
Judges play a vital role at the Undergraduate Research Symposium in the Chemical and Biological Sciences and help ensure that this event provides a valuable experience where student presenters have a professional environment to present the results of their work.

*JUDGES PLEASE NOTE- your constructive feedback is valued, keeping in mind this symposium is designed to be a positive learning experience for undergraduate researchers*

Responsibilities:
Attend Judges’ Meeting before each Poster Session for which they are assigned to judge.
Complete evaluation for each poster in the group for which they are assigned.
Collaborate with other judge(s) assigned to the same group to select first and second place presenters.
Submit selections for winners to awards coordinator.
Requirements

All judges must have an advanced degree in a science.
