I happen to be a life-long and career musician, with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Music Education (yes those words are possessive form with the approstrophe!-the more you know!) This four-week class is $100 and meets for four Tuesdays in May from 6:30-7:30pm. You may also select the Zoom option for $80 if you want to tune in from out of the area or from home. Tuition is non-refundable. Note: if you need to miss an evening, you can tune in on zoom. There will be no refunds or make-ups for missed classes :) Missed class material from that night can be sent via email, IF you email me to remind me to send it to you :) *
You’ll need: a guitar, picks, music stand and guitar tuner. Matt’s Music is READY for you and has many beginner model guitars if you don’t already have one, starting as low as $140 and he can even order what you need. He also has $20 collapsible music stands, which is what I would recommend for ease of transport, since there is not space to leave your music stands at the studio. Can you use an electric guitar? Yes! In fact, electric guitars are a little easier to learn on as you don’t have to “press as hard”. They’re especially easier if you have small hands since the neck is thinner. You will need to bring a small amp with you to hear yourself. You can plug in at home and rock out when you’re practicing :) *
Inclement weather: Who knows? We could get some snow or drought-laden heat wave, in any case, if class needs to be cancelled, we will meet via Zoom that night. It’s cool, I didn’t know how to zoom til the pandemic either so if that oddly happens, I’ll provide great instruction and you’ll make it through! *
Show up on time!  Your class begins at the scheduled time with or without you! Plan for traffic and for the minute it will take to get from the car to class space :) It is upstairs and there is no elevator. *
