One of our core values as Black Christian Nationalists has always been communalism. Communalism is rooted inboth traditional African religion and philosophy, and intricately woven intothe very DNA of African people, culture and society. We say in several of our formal faithdocuments that
“communalism is the will of GOD.” Communalism is not only a
socio-economic principle, but also a theological statement reflecting how we
believe GOD works in the world—through groups.
As we initiate a formal process for re-imagining BCN, it must begin with a well-developed succession plan that can effectively support the institutionalframework and broad scope of our organization. It must include a method to regularly assess our operations, program andmission as they intersect with our core values, theology, theory andpractices. Providing a quality on-boarding/orientation process, some quality training, and making sure our
members are clear about expectations, is critical to our future.
