American Girl Club: August 10th at 3:30pm
Join us for American Girl Book Club where we introduce a new American Girl character and her books each month. We will learn about history through discussion, crafts, and activities relevant to the character's story and time period. No prior reading is required. Dolls are not required, but always invited to attend!

August is all about Kaya!

Kaya is a Native American girl of the Nimíipuu or Nez Perce tribe living in the Pacific Northwest in 1764. She is a daring and adventurous girl who loves her community, nature, and her beautiful Appaloosa horse, Steps High.

While the club is open to ages 5-13, the American Girl books are recommended for ages 8+. Parents can find an overview of Kaya's books here: https://americangirl.fandom.com/wiki/Kaya%27aton%27my to see if they are a good fit for their child. A reading packet with suggested discussion questions for parents and kids will be sent home with each participant.
