Book Study - Clash of the Mind & Heart (August 2024)
Thank you for your interest in the book study on the book "Clash of the Heart & Mind" by Nicholas Gabriel Lim. This is suitable for parents with adolescents and children, youth work practitioners, enrichment educators, coaches & instructors, social workers, counsellors.

There will be assigned readings for each session; it's ok if you do not have time to read the chapters as there will be summaries at the start of each session:

#1: Chapters 1 to 4 (Relationship First & Youth Brain)
#2: Chapters 5 to 8 (Intentional Engagement, Mind of Dopamine & Five Cognitive Controls)
#3: Chapters 9 to 12 (Developing High-Level Thinking, The Power of Presence, What Work & Don't Work)
#4: Chapters 13 to 15 (Five Things to Avoid, The Challenges & Beyond)

10, 17, 23 & 31 August (Saturday) 10am to 11.30am SGT

Fee: S$99 (excluding the book which you will need to order separately). A portion of the proceeds will go towards Indigo.co, a new charity that specialises in human sexuality. Its scope of care encompasses providing care and receiving referrals for distressed individuals in the area of human sexuality, including but not limited to sexual orientation and gender identity.

The series is complimentary to those in the Hope tier of the community of parents raising wise citizens in a complex world; members of this Tier as well as their children can attend unlimited number of sessions run by Carol Loi, as well as monthly group coaching, amongst other benefits.
