Expressions of Interest: Seed Sovereignty Programme Plant Breeding Course
The Gaia Foundation Seed Sovereignty Programme is exploring advanced learning opportunities for 2027 and would love to hear from you if you would be interested in taking part in an online plant breeding course focusing on dynamic farmer led stewardship.

This would be an offering to those who have completed our year long commercial seed production training or have commensurate experience in seed growing. Details are to be finalised, but the course would likely be delivered over 10 months starting in February, and you would be required to commit to monthly online sessions (2 hours on a weekday evening), meet online with peers & complete relevant coursework in between (1-2 hours), and attend a minimum of one in-person practical training day throughout the year. The course would also include a personal practical plant breeding project and trials which would require access to growing space.

Places will be approx £300, available on a sliding scale with subsidised and bursary tickets available.

If you would be interested in participating, please complete the brief questionnaire below by Monday 31st August, and include your contact details for further updates and details on how to apply.
