2019 Fall - Grant Reader application
We invite you to share your voice in our 2019 Fall grantmaking process. Whether you are new to the Grassroots Fund, a current grantee, an applicant, a donor, a partner, a supporter - your perspective is a valuable part of our decision-making process.

In addition to giving your perspective on 8 to 10 applications as a grant reader, you can indicate on the form below whether you are interested in being considered as a grantmaking committee member. Approximately 10-12 grant readers will be selected to serve on the formal grantmaking committee for the Grow grant program. See below for expectations and time commitments for both roles.

Grant readers:

*Participate in a 30 minute overview webinar (week of September 15)
* Participate in a 1-1.5 hour grant reader training course (done on your own time)
* Review and evaluate 8-10 applications in our online review systems (approx. September 24 - October 15)

Total hours: ~8-10 hours

In addition, grantmaking committee members commit to:

* Review summaries of evaluations from grant readers and recommendations from Grassroots Fund staff
* Attend a 2-day in person grantmaking committee retreat, the week of December 8, which includes a deeper training on equity & implicit bias (final dates & location to be determined).
* Help make final recommendations on all Grow grant program requests.
* Receive a $500 stipend for their participation in the retreat as well as travel reimbursement

Total additional hours: ~6-8 hours, in addition to attending a 2-day retreat (meals & lodging covered by the Grassroots Fund).

While grant readers may have an active application in this round, grantmaking committee members cannot have an active Grow application at this time. Grant readers are asked to complete a confidentiality form and a conflict of interest form ahead of being assigned readings in September.

Deadline to apply is September 6th, 2019.
