Ofrenda/Altar Exhibit Registration
Mission Viejo Activities Committee (MVAC) invites you to participate in the Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Festival by creating a unique Ofrenda/Altar that memorializes someone dear to you.

It can be dedicated to an ancestor, family member, friend, to a collective event/s (i.e. service workers who passed away in the line of duty, cancer warriors, etc.) pet or to any celebrated figure. The Invitation is open to the public, organizations, schools and businesses.

Día de los Muertos marks a time for people to remember and honor the deceased by creating an “ofrenda” (offering) altar with food, photographs, flowers and items that hold significance to both the deceased loved one and those still living. In Mexican tradition, the ofrenda welcomes back the person's spirit for one night to enjoy the things they did when they were living.

Application and fee deadline is October 23rd at 5pm. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Payment will be due upon application acceptance (check or credit card accepted). No refunds. Please notify us if you need to cancel so we can offer the space to the waitlist.

Immerse yourself in tradition and creativity - your altar makes this event a success, from start to finish!
