EQUIPMENT – Each Griller will supply all of the equipment necessary for the preparation and cooking of their entryincluding a cooker. COOKER can ONLY be one of the following: Charcoal, wood or propane fired device. (NOopen/pit fires). The health and safety of contestants and festival goers should be a primary consideration whenselecting appropriate cooking fuels.
The chief Griller will be held responsible for the conduct of the team. Each team will be responsible for the clean up of their space.
CONTESTANT’S SITE – Each Griller is required to keep all equipment including cooker, canopy, etc. containedwithin assigned space. Each cooking team will be required to have a fire extinguisher (A,B,C) in full view at all times.
CLEANLINESS AND SANITATION – All Grillers are expected to maintain their cook sites in an orderly and cleanmanner and to use good sanitary practices during the preparation, cooking and judging process. The use ofsanitary gloves is required at all times while handling food. Failure to use sanitary gloves may result indisqualification. Grillers are responsible for cleanup of their site once the competition has ended. All federal, stateand local food safety rules and regulations must be adhered to at all times.
JUDGING & WINNERS – Judging will be Peoples Choice. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place trophies will be presented as well as a cash prize for 1st Place.
GRILLERS may not sell any food items.
We cannot think of every little detail, but we will try to make your contest experience as enjoyable and fair as it can be. Without your participation, we have no event. Maximize your enjoyment with the intent to return next and subsequent years!

BBQ Block Battle Coordinators reserve the right to amend these rules and regulations as situations warrant. Intent to circumvent these rules or amendments will not be tolerated.
