Volunteer Application – QALDF 2026
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the 7th Annual Queer Afro Latin Dance Festival! Volunteers play an integral part in making the festival run successfully, creating an amazing experience for our hundreds of attendees.

THE PROCESS
  • Please submit this application.
  • Once your application is reviewed and approved, you'll receive an email from qaldfvolunteer@gmail.com
  • That email will contain the link for you to sign up for your volunteer shifts (in order to receive a free festival pass, you must sign up for at least four shifts - minimum of 8 hours)
  • After you sign up for your shifts, you'll receive a code to obtain your free festival pass
  • If you receive a free festival pass but do not complete the required four shifts, you will be expected to pay the cost of the pass

Please only submit one form per volunteer.


EXAMPLES OF VOLUNTEER RESPONSIBILITIES

Different shifts will entail different tasks and responsibilities. Below are some examples of what those can be. You'll be able to select the shifts you want to take (both in terms of time and related responsibilities). 
  • Support the registration desk, checking attendees in and answering questions
  • Help with set up and take down, which can require lifting and moving objects
  • Support workshops by checking attendee wristbands and helping keep time for artists
  • Be part of the safety team, helping ensure that all attendees feel safe and welcome
  • Sell festival merchandise
