Philippine Association for Media and Information Literacy (PAMIL)
The Philippine Association for Media and Information Literacy (PAMIL) Inc. is a SEC-registered non-stock, non-profit professional organization of media and information literacy (MIL) educators, trainers, advocates, and practitioners who are committed to promoting MIL as a lifelong learning skill in a knowledge-based economy and media-saturated Filipino society.

Specifically, PAMIL is committed to:
  1. develop the media and information literacy (MIL) skills of educators, trainers, advocates and practitioners through conferences, workshops, seminars, and learning events;
  2. assist schools and other educational institutions in developing strategies in integrating MIL in the curricula;
  3. conduct studies on media and information literacy geared towards promoting it as a content and a process in teaching-learning situations;
  4. participate actively in advocating MIL in program and/or policy  agenda of academic, government, non-government, and private organizations; and
  5. produce learning materials and resources on media and information literacy for MIL educators and trainers.
TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP
PAMIL offers two types of memberships:
  1. Individual Membership
  2. Institutional Membership
MEMBERSHIP FEE
The individual membership fee is PHP 500.00 and the institutional membership fee is PHP 1,000.00.

The membership fee is paid annually on a calendar year. Thus, the membership fee that you will be paying will cover the period from January to December 2026.

MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS
The following Filipino citizens are qualified to be accepted as individual members of the Association:
1. Original incorporators of PAMIL
2. Educators in basic education and higher education
3. Librarians, archivists, and curators
4. Public information officers
5. Media practitioners
6. MIL researchers and advocates
7. Officially designated representative of an institutional member
8. Such other persons as may be elected by a unanimous vote of the Board of Directors

The following organizations are qualified to be accepted as institutional members of the Association:
1. Public or private schools, colleges, and universities
2. Public information offices/agencies
3. Professional association of educators
4. Professional association of media practitioners
5. Professional association of librarians
6. Professional association of communicators
MEMBERS' BENEFITS
Here are the benefits for Individual Members:
  1. Certificate of Individual Membership.
  2. 10% discount on regular registration rate in the National Forum.
  3. Additional 10% discount for early bird registrants in the National Forum (paid on time).
  4. 10% discount on PAMIL-organized seminars, workshops, and events.
  5. Access to PAMIL-produced learning materials.
  6. Access to news and updates on MIL-related matters.
  7. Voting rights during elections of PAMIL Board Members.
  8. Apply as a candidate for PAMIL Board members during an election.
Here are the benefits for Institutional Members:
  1. Certificate of Institutional Membership.
  2. One free Individual Membership for one faculty or representative nominated by the institution.
  3. 20% discount on the regular registration fee for one faculty in the National Forum.
  4. Priority to PAMIL- organized seminars, workshops, and events
  5. Access to PAMIL-produced learning materials.
  6. Access to news and updates on MIL-related matters.
  7. Voting rights during elections of PAMIL Board Members for the officially designated representative.
