M.C. Kinniburgh will lead a mini-seminar in Syracuse's
Special Collections Research Center, focusing on twentieth-century and
contemporary poetry and the poetics of archival exploration. By exploring
material in the Diane di Prima Papers and Amiri Baraka Collection, participants
will learn about the development of radical small press and "mimeograph
revolution" publications in the 1960s, and have the opportunity to reflect
on their own editing and writing practices. A series of creative prompts and
writing/discussion will guide this mini-seminar; there are no prerequisites to
participation.
