2019-2020 Taproot Interest Form
The Taproot Gathering is an immersive week of Jewish study, embodied practice, ritual, and heartful discussion designed for activists, artists, and changemakers who wish to tap into their Jewish background as a source of resonance, sustenance, and grounding. Taproot is a place for experimentation and for exploring the emerging fabric of our intergenerational Jewish learning community, facilitated by an intergenerational, collaborative team of rabbis and changemakers. Each 5-day retreat engages text study, movement, music and more to create a sacred learning experience for participants to dip into and emerge refreshed, nourished, and supported.

In the next year, there will be TWO Taproot Gatherings, one on the west coast and one on the east! The Winter Gathering will take place at Commonweal in Bolinas, CA from December 26-31, 2019. The Spring Gathering will take place at the Stony Point Center in Stony Point, NY from June 17-21, 2020. In attending either or both of the gatherings you will be part of an ongoing learning community throughout the year, including optional individual study/mentoring sessions with members of the Taproot stewardship team. If you are interested in joining us in 2019-2020, please fill out the short form below, and we will follow up with more information.

Our cohorts will be limited to 15 participants. We’re pleased to be able to offer some scholarships, so we encourage all who are interested to apply, regardless of means.

We can't wait to meet you!

Adam, David, Rachel, Rabbi Diane, Reb Irwin, and Reb Eli, Taproot Stewards
