2019 USTH Doctoral Days - Workshop on “Science and society, Science in society"
Time: 8h30 - 17h00 on May 15 and 8h30 - 12h00 on May 16, 2019
Venue: Room 502, 5th Floor, A21 Building, USTH, 18 Hoang Quoc Viet, Cau Giay, Hanoi.

During the workshop, the keynote speakers, Dr. Jean-Christophe Glaszmann (CIRAD Agap), Dr. Pierre-Benoit Joly (INRA-Lisis), Dr. Eric Deharo (IRD-Lisis) and Dr. Frédéric Thomas (IRD-Paloc), will examine two case studies: “Does plant genome-editing research need regulations?” and “Pharmacology, traditional knowledge and the issue of access and benefit sharing”. Each case study will be analyzed by a duo of two keynote speakers who will provide different insights of the different issues surrounding a new technology or a new scientific research to train young researchers to scientific discourse analysis.
