2018 Local Work Group RSVP
Please join us for our annual Local Work Group (LWG) and Farm Bureau Policy Development meeting.

The purpose of the LWG is to provide guidance to your NRCS and SWCD field offices concerning the implementation and delivery of conservation programs. Locally-led conservation is based on the principle that local people make the best decisions for their own communities. You are part of a diverse group invited to discuss topics such as:
• Conditions of the natural resources in Licking County
• The local application process for NRCS programs, including ranking criteria and application periods
• Eligible conservation practices
• Program performance indicators
• Identify educational needs of producers
• Public outreach and information efforts
• The need for new, innovative conservation practices
• How NRCS and SWCD can partner to best serve the people of Licking County

In addition to these topics, Farm Bureau works on a diverse list of issues including trade, ag education, infrastructure, commodities and crop insurance. Farm Bureau believes that the best policies start at the grassroots level from people who live it everyday.

If you are unable to attend consider sending a representative in your place or sharing written comments in advance.

Please contact Soil & Water at 740-670-5330 if you have any questions.

May 22, 2018 - Breakfast at 7 am, meeting starts at 7:30 am
at IHOP, 651 Hebron Rd, Heath, OH 43056
